Best RP sims in SL?
Just curious if any of you roleplay, and if so, what are your favorite roleplay sims in SL? Try to describe the sim too please. :-)
As I mentioned in a previous thread, my favorite is the Republic of Hayao. It's a superheroine vs. supervillain rp, which I've found to be one of the most creative forms of roleplaying (take regular human interactions and add super powers). It tends to be more top/bottom than D/s, although it does have some elements of D/s in it.
Needless to say (but I'm gonna say it anyway), it is a mature sim, but IMO it has some of the best roleplayers in SL.
So tell me about your favorite rp sims?

Avilion was good way back in the day, it was strict against Mature and Sexual themes in public but it remained fair when prying eyes weren't about.
I left after things became too 'structured', so i'm not sure how it is today.
Toxia seemed like it had alot of promise, but the sims are built on a mountain of lag and I hear drama is high in those lands.
Hayao has been good to me, a battle system based on RP and as far as I have encountered, little to no drama.

Agreed with You Genus, I left Toxia cause the lag was awful, sometimes almost imposible to walk. later knew that a people just "parked" thir avies there to get "experience " points on their DCS for the time log in. Appart of it, was a pain in the ass to get into cross fire when you tried to just chat, cause someone started firing randomly.
SHIP is good but for "hit and run" RPs, although it has be rebuilt recently is not a very populated place. Good place for to go and spend some time without to get too involved in anything
Hayao is so far my favorite place, you can go into deep storylines if you want to, and there're always some plot or events running. As I like to say: A porn movie is always better if it have a good plot, not only ..., and again, and agian, and again,.....

That's a good way to describe it. The plot building in RP is what makes it fun. As much as I enjoy the sex, I also enjoy seeing my characters develop too.
That was why I quit going to sex sims where it was just a bunch of newbies asking me "wanna screw?"
I also quit going to sims where sex was banned or severely limited. That is almost like saying, "you can develop your character, but they don't have a sex life". That's almost like saying I have to play a one-legged character. Sorry, but I'm not going to ignore my character's sexuality for the sake of some puritannical sim tyrants. :P
The best sims I was ever in always had a nice blend of both character development and sex rp.

I'm a huge fan of Island of Pain. I've met the most amazing people there. It's a place where I discover new things each time I visit.
It offers a huge variety of activities and scenery. If you're up for a chat, it's the place to be. If you're up for serious play, it's most definitely the place to be. It's BDSM orientated with a fascinating range of people.
I would recommend it to anyone who is into BDSM.

Island of Pain sounds fun. I recently got a sub in SL, and I've been looking for a place to take her.
Don't get the wrong idea. I'm more of a sub than a domme, but she was a sweet girl and I'm a sucker. :P

Personally for real Roleplay i prefer Crossroads its les kaotic then most sims and allows you to really emerge yourself into some role play
As far as combat zones, the most active i have seen is Tox and Nor
but yea i don't do much of that in SL no more got boring to me after a while

its one of the oldest rp sims like the sime that started ccs i believe. no guns though they were thinking of changing that last i checked, and its nearly lagless. check it out in world

I do RP but it's more PG. I'm currently with Hogwarts United (Formerly Hogwarts Reborn) The new sim is really very well done they took a lot of time building it. Right now there's a bit of flux as the original groups is merging with a group who lost their RP space. I'm waiting to see what the influx of new people and potential changes in leadership is going to do to the RP. It's not my main reason for going into SL despite it taking up more of my inworld time but it's fun and as long as it remains so I'll keep doing it. It's really tame compared to what others are talking about here though.
