Time to push forward

Finally our infrastructure is in order for the coming times, and it's time to consider growing. It has been a long tough haul, to get us truly worked in to being a nullsec alliance, with the lack of size we have,,, but we have succeeded, and are now ready to start growing and maybe expand our territory in a few months time.

Even without any sort of "advertizing", it seems that word of us has spread enough for corporations to adress us about joining MAD, even corps being in older and larger alliances. My diplomaticcorp and i are offcourse aware of the risk of spies trying to get in, but we both need growth and also have to admit that the risk of spies is gonna be there nomatter what we do (all we can do is to work to minimize the effect they can have).

On the political scene, all i can say is that my "premonitions" sofar regarding the wars in New Eden has proven true. 2 weeks after i said it whould happen, BoB and -A- linked up and started pounding on GS/UNL. It should be interesting to see what the next steps are gonna be, and though i allready have a few thoughts i will keep em to myself atm (they'll be going out in alliancemail first, before being revealed here atleast).

Atlast my most stressful time, aslong as i can remember, is grinding to a halt. A lot has happened since last i wrote here, IAC has fallen, IRON has fallen, and MAD has become a nullsec alliance.

It has been a long and troublesome road, with many bumps on it, but we're finally seeing the light at the end of the tunnel and can begin to prosper. Our plans are still the same on that point, and we all intend on living up to our alliancename on that,, "Motivated And Determined"!

As far as my work as a diplomat goes, i have had to start looking for a staff to share the workload with. It began being a simple, but needed, thing to do, as i cannot in any way cover the needs of our alliance alone.

I have sofar only appointed 1 Vice-diplomat, and 1 Liaison, and is looking at maybe 1 more,, but that should suffice for now.

As for personal goals achieved since i last wrote, i've actually not had the time for even thinking of those,, which actually gratifies me in it's own sense. I used to be a servant of the State, but could not be allowed to serve it in a way that was suitable for the way i "work". I'm aware that is most likely a flaw on my behalf, but i can atleast now take pride in providing, and displaying, the skills the State taught me in service of the alliance i'm now a proud part of.

Preparations for war...

Time has come for us to prepare the last things for the oncoming war, which will this time be one where we are amongst the ones starting it. Along with our allies, it shall be most delightfull to once again enter a true battlefield,, and wreak havoc on those that dare stand in our path.

For the time being it's the long dull wait though, as we're moving materials and ship to the frontline, and gathering the last pieces of equipment needed,, as we most likely won't have too much time on our hands for that once the sh** hits the fan.

Time to get back to business,,,

Finally. We can now get back to our plans, as Green Alliance backed down, and we're therefore at peace again as of 22:00 EST today.

We will probably still stay on alert for a while,, in case they try to lull us into a feeling of safety, and then re-dec us,, but i do doubt that tbh (paranoia never hurt anyone though).

The good thing is that the war showed us all the weaknesses we have in our securityroutines,, so we are now aware of those and can correct them. Also, it has accelerated our build of warstores, so we are now quite wellprepared for the next time this happens,,, as i'm certain that it will.

Typical, our plans are now delayed. Green alliance declared war on us, so we shall have to deal with those pesky bastards first.

We have had no sightings of them these 2 first days of the war, but have pinned down locations they operate out of though,, so we will just have to be patient (though i must admit i long for hammering salvo after salvo into them, and watch their ships erupt in a fiery cloud).

Apparently it is now decided that we will NOT become a mere puppet of someone, by renting a system, so i guess i'll finally have use of my old training in the arts of war.

Naturally i cannot disclose the systems we have decided to move into, but i do believe we have quite a task at hand with it. Even though the cost might be high, i am convinced though that it'll be well worth it.

Had a little disorder in Assah yesterday, due to an old adversary. Korthan, from PRETA (Ghost Festival), showed up again, and tried ransoming a freighter. Alas i was the last to arrive and help pound him, as an Amarr tanker ain't the fastest ship to align and warp, so i missed on being main damagedealer, but atleast we got him.

Trying to keep peace and order in the area isn't an easy task, but the coalition the alliances and corporations of the area has formed in the area should be able to atleast slow down their (the pirates) operational work somewhat.

I can't wait till my carrier arrives,, as that'll make it SO much easier to break the gatecamps they tend to setup....

The other night i finally got my dread moved to HQ,,, was a good moment,, seeing the big ship slowly glide into the hangar.

I guess next point on my agenda will have to be to get a carrier moved here aswell, as i have an idea it could be a good incentive to the pirates around here to "take a hike".
